What we collect

Why we use it

To provide the service (answering your missed calls and delivering messages), to verify your identity and secure your account, to process payments and refunds, to prevent abuse, to support you, and to meet legal obligations. We do not sell your personal data and do not use it for advertising.

Sensitive information on calls

The assistant tells callers not to share OTPs, PINs, passwords, Aadhaar details or complete card numbers, and if such details are spoken they are automatically detected and redacted before the transcript is saved.

Who we share it with

Only the service providers needed to run CognoLines, under agreements that limit their use of your data:

We may also disclose data where the law or a valid legal request requires it.

Security

Phone numbers are stored encrypted, traffic between you and our service is encrypted in transit (HTTPS), each customer's data is kept separate from other customers', access to production systems is restricted, and administrative actions are logged. Our systems are hosted on Amazon Web Services in India. No system is perfectly secure; we take reasonable steps to protect your data and will notify you and the authorities of a breach as the law requires.

How long we keep it

We keep your account details, call transcripts and summaries only as long as needed to provide the service to you. You can ask us at any time to delete your call transcripts and summaries, or your whole account, by emailing support@cognocore.com; we act on verified requests promptly and within the time the law requires. Payment records are kept for as long as tax, accounting or legal rules require, even after an account is closed.

Your rights

You can ask to access, correct or erase your personal data, withdraw consent, or make a complaint. To do so, email support@cognocore.com. For complaints about how your data is handled, contact our grievance officer, Shivani, at grievance@cognocore.com. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may also approach the Data Protection Board of India.

Callers

People who call a customer's number and reach the assistant are told they are speaking to an AI, that the call is not recorded, and that a written message will be created. Their number and message are shared only with the customer they were trying to reach.

Changes

We may update this policy and will post the new version here with a new "last updated" date. See also our Terms & conditions and Contact us page.
