Terms & conditions
Last updated 20 September 2026
These terms govern your use of CognoLines (https://cognolines.com), operated by Cognocore Solutions LLP. By creating an account or using the service you agree to them.
1. The service
CognoLines is an AI call-screening and personal-assistant service. When you set up call forwarding, calls you don't answer are forwarded to our shared number, where an AI assistant identifies itself as an AI, finds out who is calling and why, takes a message, and sends it to you. The assistant does not impersonate you, does not make commitments on your behalf, and does not collect one-time passwords, PINs, passwords, Aadhaar details or complete card numbers.
It is not an emergency service. Do not rely on it for urgent, medical, legal or safety-critical calls. If someone needs emergency help, they must contact the relevant emergency service directly.
2. Your account
You must provide accurate details. You are responsible for keeping your password and login codes secure and for activity on your account. Tell us promptly at support@cognocore.com if you suspect unauthorised use. You may register only phone numbers that you own or are authorised to use.
3. Plans, prices and payment
Plans are prepaid packs of assistant talk time and calls, valid for the period shown on the plan. Prices are in Indian Rupees (INR), include all applicable taxes, and are shown before you pay; the price shown is the total you are charged. Payments are processed by our payment partner, Cashfree Payments; we do not see or store your card, UPI or bank details. Plans do not renew automatically. Unused talk time and calls expire when the plan's validity ends. The free Trial plan has its own, smaller limits. Refunds are governed by our Refunds & cancellations policy.
4. Call forwarding and carrier charges
The service works only while call forwarding is active on your phone. Setting it up (and turning it off) is done using standard codes on your own phone and carrier. Your mobile carrier may charge for forwarded calls; those charges are set by your carrier and are separate from what you pay us. We cannot guarantee that every carrier, handset or plan supports forwarding.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the service to break the law, harass or deceive people, or attempt to disrupt, probe or reverse-engineer the service. We may suspend or end access if you do.
6. Callers and the messages we take
Callers are told they are speaking with an AI assistant and that the call is not recorded. We do not store raw call audio; we keep a text transcript and summary so we can deliver your message. You are responsible for how you use the messages you receive and for complying with any laws that apply to you as the recipient.
7. Accuracy and availability
The assistant uses speech recognition and AI, which can mishear, misunderstand or omit details. Messages are provided as a convenience and should be checked before you rely on them for anything important. We work to keep the service available but do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free; it also depends on third parties (telephony, AI and payment providers, your carrier).
8. Privacy
How we handle personal data is described in our Privacy policy, which forms part of these terms.
9. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, missed or mis-recorded calls, or loss of business or opportunity arising from use of the service. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
10. Changes and termination
We may update these terms or the service; if a change is material we will notify you by email or in your account. You can stop using the service at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms or are used unlawfully.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts at Bengaluru have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to any rights you have under consumer-protection law.
